Are we there yet?

Mr Duque, are we going to CVS for our field trip today?
Because, that’s the only “farm I see”!

Today, my partner and I took our sixth grade class on a community service field trip to the Community Harvest Project (CHP) in North Grafton, MA.  CHP is a collection of farms in Grafton and Brimfield where volunteers come together to help plant, tend and harvest tens of thousands of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables for neighbors in need in Worcester County.  It’s an awesome experience, in particular because of the hands-on nature of it all.

Just before we turn onto the road where CHP is located, the bus passes by a CVS Pharmacy.  At that point, one of my girls pops her head over my seat back on the school bus and proceeds to ask me about our destination.  Oy, aren’t they punny!
